On Friday, April 26, 2024, the Natural Science Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held an annual event awaited by 6th semester Natural Science Education students, namely SUPERMASI (Successful Thesis Problem Deepening). The event, which took place in the Seminar Room of FMIPA UNY, carried the theme "SIMAK: The Innovative Spirit of Digging the Root of Thesis Problems." 

Attended by 187 participants, 13 organizers, 2 MCs, 1 moderator, and several Research Group lecturers, SUPERMASI 2024 became the main highlight for students who are preparing to complete their thesis. With the presence of experienced lecturers such as Didik Setyawarno, Asri Widowati, Putri Anjarsari, Widodo Setiyo Wibowo, and Susilowati, as well as the two speakers, Dr. Sabar Nurohman, and Tanti Rahayu, this event is expected to provide an in-depth view of the thesis preparation process.

The event opened with a warm welcome from the MC, followed by opening words from the committee chairman, chairman of HIMA IPA 2024, HIMA IPA FMIPA UNY supervisor, and Study Program Coordinator. After that, the main speaker began to explain important material related to the preparation of the thesis, which was then followed by a question and answer session to gain a deeper understanding. However, what makes SUPERMASI even more special is the implementation of RG (Research Group) group discussions. Participants were divided into groups guided by RG lecturers to discuss more deeply the problems they faced in preparing their thesis. This discussion lasted for 55 minutes and provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences and knowledge.

Closing the event, Renita Dwi Aryani, as the head of the SUPERMASI 2024 committee, thanked all those who had contributed to the success of the event. She also hopes that this event can provide great benefits for active 6th semester Science Education students of FMIPA UNY in preparing and completing their thesis. With the success of SUPERMASI 2024 in providing new insights and inspiration, it is hoped that the participants can step up with more confidence in completing their theses and become the next generation who are competent in the field of natural science.
