DINAMIKA 9G Celebrates the 19th Anniversary of the Department of Science Education FMIPA UNY

The Science Education Department of FMIPA Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta proudly held its annual anniversary celebration, DINAMIKA 9G, marking the 19th year of the department's establishment. The event, held onsite at the FMIPA Ballroom, adopted the theme “Rise in Science, Soar with Aetherion,” symbolizing the spirit of scientific growth, courage, and limitless exploration. This year’s mascot, “Strix”, the wise and resilient owl, represented persistence in facing failures and challenges within the world of science, as well as the aspiration to reach higher knowledge through innovation and creativity.

The event began at 3:00 PM with a ceremonial parade by the organizing committee, the President of HIMA IPA 2025, and faculty representatives. The opening dance performed by Science Education students set an uplifting tone, followed by welcome remarks and a symbolic tumpeng-cutting ceremony by the Head of the Science Education Department. The highlight of the event was the screening of a drama performance portraying the journey of Science Education students—from their first days of enrollment to discovering their passions, strengths, and academic identity. Interspersed throughout the drama were various artistic performances including traditional dance, singing, and contemporary dance, showcasing the diverse talents within the department.

DINAMIKA 9G also served as a platform for awarding Outstanding Science Education Students and the announcement of the Best Class of 2025. After a break, the event reopened for external audiences, followed by musical performances from students and a special appearance by the Guest Star MR. GEORGE, who energized the crowd and closed the night on a high note. Banyu Bening Putra Ikhsan, the head of the committee, expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. DINAMIKA 9G has become a space for connection, creativity, and unity within the Science Education community.” The night concluded with a documentation session and a collective clean-up, embodying the spirit of responsibility and care for the campus environment.
