FMIPA UNY’s Undergraduate Science Education Program Prepares for ASIIN International Accreditation

Yogyakarta, July 2025 — The Undergraduate Science Education Program at FMIPA UNY has commenced a Workshop on Compiling Supporting Documents as part of its preparation for international accreditation by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics), a prestigious German-based accreditation agency. ASIIN is globally recognized for its rigorous quality assurance processes across disciplines such as engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, biology, and agriculture. As part of the preparation, the study program is compiling a comprehensive set of 22 documentation folders, which include a student handbook, academic quality documents (SPMI), curriculum maps, course syllabi (RPS), student mobility records, ECTS conversion frameworks, academic regulations, graduation statistics, HR plans, and tracer studies. This workshop involves collaborative efforts between the Study Program, the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), and the Study Program Quality Team (GPM) to ensure compliance with ASIIN’s international standards. This initiative reflects FMIPA UNY’s strong commitment to quality education and its readiness to achieve global recognition in the field of science education.
