Yogyakarta, July 16, 2025 – The Student Association of Science Education FMIPA UNY successfully held the annual event KOMMIPA (Science Teaching Competition), organized by the Academic Reasoning Division. This year’s competition carried the theme “Inspiring Scientific Curiosity: Through Technology Literacy in 21st Century Learning”, aiming to develop innovative and future-ready science educators. Conducted online via Zoom, the competition involved 29 participants from various universities across Java, such as: Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Siliwangi, UIN Sunan Ampel, and IAIN Ponorogo. The event featured a learning media workshop, module and teaching video submission, and a final presentation stage held on July 16, 2025, partially hosted at Room D03.1.01.04 FMIPA UNY. Nine finalists presented their teaching media in front of two judges: Rizki Arumning Tyas, M.Pd. (UNY) and Devi Septiani, M.Pd. (UST). Each had 7 minutes to present and 13 minutes for a Q&A session. The event concluded with awarding the judges, announcing the winners, and a group photo with all participants and committee members. The chairperson, Elvia Dewi Pebriyanti, expressed her gratitude to all contributors and hoped that this competition would enrich participants’ experience and support their journey to become professional and expressive science teachers.
