Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY Explores Collaboration Opportunities with Pudak Scientific, Bandung

Bandung, August 14, 2024 – In an effort to strengthen collaboration between the Teacher Training Institution (LPTK) and the Business World/Industry World (DU/DI), the Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY, visited Pudak Scientific, a leading company in the production and development of educational teaching aids and science laboratory equipment. The visit by Didik Setyawarno, Ismail Fikri Natadiwijaya, and Dita Puji Rahayu aimed to explore various strategic collaboration opportunities that could provide benefits for both parties.
Pudak Scientific is known as an industry that focuses on innovation in the development of educational teaching aids, especially in the fields of science and technology. With a strong reputation in the world of education, Pudak Scientific has provided various products and solutions that help the learning process become more effective and enjoyable.
In this meeting, several opportunities for collaboration between the Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY and Pudak Scientific were discussed, including:
1. Teaching Practitioner Program
This program allows practitioners from Pudak Scientific to teach at the Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY. The material presented will be very relevant to several courses such as Science Laboratory Management and Techniques, Measuring Instruments and Measurement Management, and others. The presence of practitioners in lecture activities is expected to provide more practical and applicable industrial insights to students.
2. Independent Internship Program
Through this program, Science Education students will get the opportunity to do an internship at Pudak Scientific. This program is designed to provide valuable experience for students in facing the world of work, as well as deepen their knowledge in laboratory management and the use of science equipment directly in industry.
3. Laboratory Management and Use of Laboratory Equipment Training
This training will be intended for lecturers and laboratory assistants at the Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY. With this training, it is hoped that the ability to manage laboratories and skills in using laboratory equipment will increase, supporting a better learning process.

 

This visit is an initial step to realize the link and match between the world of education and industry, which is expected to strengthen the quality of education in the Department of Science Education, FMIPA UNY and provide real benefits for students and teaching staff.
