Yogyakarta, April 15, 2025 - In order to improve the curriculum of S1, S2, and S3 Science Education Study Programs, the Department of Science Education FMIPA UNY held a Curriculum Review activity which presented two expert speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Anna Permanasari, M.Si. from Pakuan University and Prof. Dr. Sarwanto, M.Si. from Sebelas Maret University. This activity was carried out online through Zoom Meeting and opened with the introduction of the study program coordinators in the Department of Science Education. The moderation of the discussion was led by Dr. Sabar Nurohman. In her presentation, Prof. Anna Permanasari emphasized the importance of scientific continuity between educational levels. She highlighted the importance of sharpening graduate profiles, integration of learning outcomes, and clarity of research direction at each level, especially the development of new theories in doctoral programs. She also suggested the efficiency of course grouping and adjustment of SKS to better reflect the student learning load. Meanwhile, Prof. Sarwanto provided views related to the direction of national and international policies, especially in relation to accreditation and quality assurance. He also suggested the importance of a more systematic course mapping so that lecturers have a clear reference in preparing teaching materials and SLO assessments. The discussion was active and ended with a question and answer session that discussed the elaboration of scientific vision, integration of local potential, and strengthening of School Science content and international curriculum.
