Thesis Workshop: Strategic Moves to Support Science Education Students’ Graduation

Yogyakarta, April 19, 2025 — To accelerate students' thesis completion with high quality, the Science Education Department of FMIPA UNY, in collaboration with the Science Education Student Association (HIMA IPA), organized two strategic programs: SUPERMASI (Successfully Deepen Thesis Problems) and the Thesis Acceleration Workshop. These in-person activities were held in Meeting Room III, FMIPA UNY, with the participation of 83 sixth-semester students. The event began with a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Insih Wilujeng, M.Pd., titled "Strengthen Your Heart for Thesis", highlighting scientific integrity, theory selection, and the importance of communication with supervisors. The second session featured Nita Prasyama Azhari, S.Pd., an inspiring alumna who shared insights on mental health, time management, and surviving thesis defense. Students were also guided in drafting their thesis proposals aligned with their research interests and supervisor groups. The activity resulted in finalized thesis titles and drafts as essential steps toward efficient thesis completion. Through this collaborative academic effort, FMIPA UNY reaffirms its dedication to producing graduates who are not only timely but also academically competent and ready for professional challenges.
