Lecturer representatives from the Department of Science Education, Yogyakarta State University (UNY), namely Dr. Winarto, Rizki Arumning Tyas, and Widodo Setiyo Wibowo, visited the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Jakarta State University (UNJ) in mid-August 2024. As fellow LPTK (Education Personnel Education Institutions) and members of the Indonesian LPTK MIPA Association, FMIPA UNY and FMIPA UNJ have established many collaborations in various fields.

The arrival of the team from UNY was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FMIPA UNJ, Prof. Dr. Muktiningsih Nurjayadi, along with the heads of laboratories, study program coordinators, and heads of departments. The family atmosphere that felt like home further strengthened the good relationship between the two institutions.

During the visit, there was an intense discussion about the latest research trends in the field of MIPA education, as well as plans for future collaborations including joint research and joint publications. The UNY team also had the opportunity to visit various new laboratories owned by FMIPA UNJ, broadening their insights in managing academic and research facilities. This visit is expected to be a concrete initial step in strengthening the synergy between the two faculties, producing joint research and publications that provide positive contributions to the development of science and education in Indonesia.
