Primary tabs

The Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) conducted the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the first year of the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) in 2024 on November 8, 2024. This activity took place in the Main Meeting Room of the Senate of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and focused on the S1 Science Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY as one of the recipients of the PKKM grant.
DIKTI presented external reviewers, namely Achmad Affandi and Bondan Tiara Sofyan as substance reviewers, and Giri Umbara and Heneria Thyar P. as financial reviewers. The activity was also attended by UNY leaders, including the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Secretary of the Directorate of Academic Development, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, FMIPA, Vice Dean for Planning and Finance, and Head of the Department of Science Education.
Overall, the implementation of PKKM in the Science Education Study Program, FMIPA UNY went well. Most of the programs have been implemented, although there are several activities that have to be rescheduled due to adjustments to partner availability. The procurement process for goods has also been completed and is just waiting for arrival. The implementation team was asked to update the measurement of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) to ensure that achievements are on target. UNY emphasized its commitment to supporting the internationalization of study programs, one of which is through the development of dual degrees and fast tracks which are planned to be implemented in the 2025 academic year. This step aims to attract more foreign students and strengthen global competitiveness.
In addition, support for the implementation of the Independent Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is also being strengthened. Activities such as PMM, KKN, Educational Practices (PK), Industrial Practices (PI), and Internships will be equipped with implementation guidelines that include procedures, credit recognition, and management. To support the success of this program, UNY has also prepared incentives for MBKM student participants and Field Supervisors (DPL).
The implementation of PKKM has proven to have a significant impact on the achievement of UNY's IKU, especially on IKU 2. This year, the contribution reached 6.7%, with 1,244 active students achieving outside campus from a total of 18,832 students. FMIPA, especially the Science Education Study Program, is one of the largest contributors through various academic and non-academic activities, such as scientific conferences, national and international competitions, as well as arts, culture and sports. With these positive results, DIKTI hopes that the implementation of PKKM at UNY can continue to support the improvement of the quality of higher education and the achievement of more optimal IKU.
