PKBM Permata Unggul Conducts Routine Practicum Visit at the Science Laboratory of FMIPA UNY

The Science Laboratory of FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), once again hosted a practicum visit from PKBM Permata Unggul on Friday, February 6, 2026. This activity is part of a routine collaboration aimed at strengthening science learning through hands-on laboratory experiences. The practicum visit was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Business Affairs (RKSIU) of FMIPA UNY, accompanied by the Department Secretary, Head of Laboratory, Public Relations team, lecturers, education staff, and student laboratory assistants. The activity was attended by approximately 50 students, accompanied by teachers and parents.

During the practicum session, participants engaged in various science experiments. In Biology sessions, students learned about microscope introduction, human organs, plant structures, animal structures, and the human skeletal system. Meanwhile, in Physics sessions, participants conducted experiments on motion combination, light reflection, light refraction, Lorentz force, and a simple lightning demonstration. These activities were designed to provide contextual, engaging, and easy-to-understand science learning experiences. Through this activity, the Science Laboratory of FMIPA UNY continues its commitment to strengthening public scientific literacy through laboratory-based learning. The ongoing collaboration with PKBM Permata Unggul is expected to further enhance experiential science education in the future.
